Mr. Johnson: Uh, waiter, I’d like to order a–

    Grover: Be patient. One moment.

Grover: Yes, sir. I am ready now. What can I do for you?

Mr. Johnson: Yes, I’d like a bowl of chicken soup, please.

Grover: Very good choice. You’ve been here before, haven’t you? I’ll be right back. One bowl of chicken soup, Charlie.

Mr. Johnson: That settles it. I don’t know why I keep coming back to this place. This guy gives me a hard time every time I come in here. If it’s not one thing, it’s another.

Grover: Save me a bowl, will you Charlie? OK, sir. Here we have your delicious chicken soup.

    Mr. Johnson: Yes, ah– Waiter?

    Grover: Yes, sir.

Mr. Johnson: I can’t eat this soup.

Grover: You can’t eat this soup? Why can’t– oh, of course not. I can feel it. It is too cold. I will get you another bowl of soup. I am sorry, sir.

Mr. Johnson: No, ah– no, that–

Grover: Hey, Charlie, how about a hot bowl this time, OK? Give the guy a break.

Mr. Johnson: Well, that settles it. From now on, I’m bringing my lunch to work in a paper sack. Every time.

Grover: Have a good and hearty meal.

    Mr. Johnson: Yes, but waiter?

    Grover: There, there.

Mr. Johnson: –you forgot to bring–

Grover: I forgot the salt, didn’t I. Of course.

    Mr. Johnson: No.

    Grover: The pepper.

    Mr. Johnson: No.

    Grover: Uh, the crackers?

    Mr. Johnson: No, no, no.

Grover: Then tell me, why can’t you eat the soup, sir?

Mr. Johnson: Why don’t you taste it?

Grover: All right, sir. The customer is always right. I shall taste it.

    Mr. Johnson: Mmm-hmm.

    Grover: Uh, where’s the spoon?

    Mr. Johnson: Ah-ha.

Grover: Oh, I forgot the spoon. Oh.

Mr. Johnson: You can’t eat soup without a spoon.
